Sun Run InTraining clinics will be starting in January at 70+ centres in the Lower Mainland as well as Penticton, Kelowna, Kamloops, Bowen Island, the Sunshine Coast and Squamish.
InTraining welcomes children 13 years and older who are accompanied by a parent/guardian at many centres. Please confirm availability before registering.
Whether you're a runner or a walker, a Sun Run InTraining clinic can help you reach your fitness goal in a safe and supportive environment. The three 13-week InTraining programs designed by SportMedBC starts off slowly and gradually builds strength and stamina. The focus is on improving your overall health and fitness while keeping you injury-free.
Registration
Sun Run InTraining clinic registration is a two-part process: You MUST first register at the clinic location of your choice in person or by phone, and then complete an online entry form. Your Sun Run entry fee is included in the clinic fee.

NORDIC WALKING CLINICS for 2010
The Vancouver Sun is proud to support Nordic Walking and is expanding the program and will be offering a Nordic Walk 10K at select community centres. For a clinic list, please visit www.sportmedbc.com. Note: Registration is limited, so register soon!
Participants will receive coaching from trained teachers and the motivation of training with other Nordic walkers. Participants will be required to bring their own poles. Poles will be permitted in the 2009 Sun Run. For safety reasons, no poles will be allowed in non-Nordic Walking clinics.
SportMedBC Walk 10K
Whether you are a beginner or an avid walker, this program will provide you with a comfortable progression of distances and change of pace sessions while ensuring you progress at your own comfortable level.
SportMedBC Learn to Run 10K
If you would like to run a 10K but you've never run before, or if you have not done any running for three months or longer, this program is for you.
SportMedBC Run 10K Faster
To sign up for this program you should have completed the Learn to Run 10K or be running two to three times a week on your own for at least 30 minutes. This program will add variety to your training and help your run a little faster and feel more comfortable when you run.
